Notice is hereby given that the 52nd Annual General Meeting of the Solihull Arden Club will be held at the Clubhouse on Monday 31st March 2025 at 7.30pm to transact the following business:

Apologies
Approval of the previous AGM Minutes (27th March 2024).
Changes to the Club Rules & Bye Laws
Report of the Chairman
Report of the Treasurer
Report of the General Manager
Receive and adopt the accounts for year ending 31st December 2024
Election of the President, Chairman, and Treasurer
Election of Tim Forsyth as Vice Chairman
Election of the Management Committee
Any Other Business (At the Chairman’s discretion)

NOTES

1. Elections

All serving officers have confirmed their willingness to continue in their roles. There are no current vacancies.

Natalie Ward: Secretary

The position of Vice Chairman was previously vacant and Tim Forsyth was Co-opted into this role at the Management Committee meeting on the 5th April 2023. Tim is prepared to take on the role of Vice Chairman as a full member of the Management Committee. This requires a proposer and seconder and a vote to accept him for this role.

2. Subscriptions

The revised Membership subscription rates have been communicated to all members by email by the 1st March.

3. Solihull Arden Club Constitution

The Rule book has been reviewed and changes were made in May 2024.

With the increased membership, the old definition of 50 members needed to call for an EGM has been amended so now 20% of the membership are now required to vote to call an EGM.
The old references to membership categories that no longer existed have been removed and the current categories that describe the type of Membership we offer has been inserted.
A section on Bye Laws for Padel Tennis and Table Tennis has been included.
