A Message of Thanks to Alan Robinson

We would like to share with members that Alan Robinson has decided to step down from his role as Chairman of Arden Tennis Club. Alan will continue to serve as Vice Chairman for a transitional period. Alan’s decision to step into the Vice Chairman role means Arden will continue to benefit from his experience and wisdom.

On behalf of everyone at Arden, we extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to Alan for his exceptional leadership over the past five years.

Alan took on the role during a pivotal time for the club. Membership numbers were falling, and financial pressures threatened our future. Through his steady guidance and tireless dedication, Alan helped steer Arden away from the brink of closure and to a financially secure and thriving members club. His leadership was especially vital during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alan remained calm and focused, helping us adapt and stay connected as a community, even when we couldn’t easily gather to play our sports. His resilience and commitment kept the spirit of Arden alive.

From all of us at Arden, thank you, Alan. Your dedication has made a lasting impact, and we are proud to have had you at the helm. We look forward to continuing this journey with your support and guidance in your new role.

With this change, Tim Forsyth will move from Vice Chairman to Chairman. We look forward to working with Tim as he leads Arden into its next chapter.
