Change to Padel court booking rules and charges

Dear members,

Please see the information below which outlines the Padel court booking rules and charges which will come into effect from Saturday 18th July.

Yours sincerely,

The SAC Team

New Booking Rules Commence from Saturday 18th July 2026

1. Members can book padel courts up to 14 days in advance.

2. When booking 14 days in advance, all courts become available at 7.15am.

3. It is not necessary to select any players in order to book a court.

4. It is the responsibility of the booker to ensure that the booking is correctly populated with the names of all four players before the time of play. The names may be altered at any point beforehand but will be frozen thereafter.

5. A £4 charge will be deducted from the booker’s account at the time of booking. The booker’s account must contain sufficient funds at this point or booking will not be allowed.

6. Any unnamed players on the booking at the time of play will be charged to the booker’s account as TBC Player at £6 each.

7. A member cannot be added to a booking if their account is overdrawn.

8. On the day of play, the system will send an email reminder to the members named on the booking.

9. Members are not permitted to appear on the booking sheet more than once per day. If a situation, such as a last-minute no-show, requires this condition to be waived, the name change must be made by reception before play.

10. The players on court must match the names on the booking. Members are not allowed to play under another name and nor are they allowed to play without their name being entered.

11. Anyone with a booked court and wanting to play singles must inform reception beforehand to ensure that the booking is amended and charged correctly.

12. Coaching sessions must be booked via the coach.

13. A “guest” is defined as anyone who is not a full padel playing member whether or not they have any other level of Club membership. Guests may play only on the basis that:

a. Only a guest pass generated from the ‘Members App’ (full padel) can be used for a guest to play Padel, this process is booked via the Solihull Arden Club Reception.

b. There is no longer an option to pay a guest fee.

c. AND the booking must be correctly completed by reception before the time of play. Only reception can enter “guest” on the booking platform.

14. The Club will investigate and, if necessary, take appropriate disciplinary action against anyone breaking or attempting to circumvent these rules.

Operation of padel booking charges

1. On booking a court, whatever names are initially on the booking, a charge of £4 is incurred. This is on the basis that the minimum charge for that court will be £4. The final charge will be determined at the time of play.

2. Between the booking date and the date/time of play, the booker may alter the names as wished, multiple times if necessary, without any further charges being applied.

3. At the time of play, the names on the booking will be frozen and cannot be changed thereafter. Overnight, the system will review the booking and charge the booker as follows:

a. 3 unnamed players = (3 * £6) = £18. This is in addition to the £4 booking fee already paid so the total cost to the booker for the game is £22.

b. 2 unnamed players = (2 * £6) = £12. This is in addition to the £4 booking fee already paid so the total cost to the booker for the game is £16.

c. 1 unnamed player = £6. This is in addition to the £4 booking fee already paid so the total cost to the booker for the game is £10.

d. All players are named members = no additional charge. The total cost to the booker for the game is the £4 booking fee already paid.

4. In all cases, it is up to the booker to agree how costs are shared among the players:

a. On the day following the day of play, the booker will receive an email reminder showing the booking fee total if an additional charge has been applied.

b. On the day of play, all named members will receive an email reminder. Other than for the booker, this will include an “invitation to transfer” link. The value of the transfer will be £1 (i.e. the booking fee divided by four).

5. When booking a court, the booker’s account must have sufficient credit to cover the £4 booking fee.

6. If an account is overdrawn it will not be possible for the holder to be added as a player on a booking.

7. “Guests” (i.e. anyone who is not a full padel playing member) are subject to separate conditions. See the Padel Booking Rules for details.

8. Anyone with a booked court and wanting to play singles must inform reception beforehand to ensure that the booking is charged correctly.
