Arden at 150 Squash and Racketball Tournament

A big "Thank You" to everyone that made these two tournaments such a great success. It was a pleasure to see so many members entering into the spirit of the tournaments, which were played with the emphasis of taking part being more important than the winning.

The statistics of the tournaments are:

Squash 138 matches played; total points scored 1,425. After which Rosie Kirsch had scored 105 points and Luke Damms had scored 105 points. Rosie and Luke graciously agreed to share the 1st place as joint equal and shared the vouchers to spend in the club.

Racketball 177 matches played; total points scored 1,732. After which Luke Friend had scored 105 points and Richard Lowe had scored 105 points. Luke and Richard graciously agreed to share the 1st place as joint equal and shared the vouchers to spend in the club.

The ladies tournament was beautifully run by Rachel Woolford with Gaynor Keeley winning and Heather Truepenny as the runner-up.

So, after all the matches, we failed to establish Solihull Arden King of Kings, which was a great testament to the ethos of our club. Therefore, I am proposing that we try again next year to see who will be the King of Kings then!

Thanks again.

Tim Forsyth
