Warwickshire Tennis County Championships

Dear Members,

The Warwickshire Tennis County Championships will be held at Solihull Arden Club this year from Sunday 23rd August – Saturday 29th August. We are delighted as a club to have been chosen to host this event.

This is the first time we have hosted the County Championships, allowing us to showcase the fantastic facilities at Solihull Arden. The Warwickshire County Championships is the pinnacle of Junior Tennis in Warwickshire, promoting grassroots development and the growth of tennis in Warwickshire. As part of our ambition to grow tennis at Solihull Arden, this event provides opportunities for players to compete competitively and supports the growth of the tennis community at Solihull Arden.

During the tournament week, there will be limited court availability during the day (9am-5:30pm) whilst the event takes place. There will be plenty of matches to watch from 9U-Adults, with players from across the county, including Solihull Arden members.

Provisional Schedule:

Sunday 23rd – Open Men’s + Ladies, 9U

Monday 24th – 12U, 16U

Tuesday 25th – 10U, 12U, 16U

Wednesday 26th – 10U

Thursday 27th – 11U, 14U, 18U

Friday 28th – 11U, 14U, 18U, Learning Disability Event

Saturday 29th – Seniors Finals, 18U Finals

During the week, 30 events will take place, including Singles, Doubles and Learning Disability events. Please come down to support our junior members. Men’s and Ladies matches will start on Sunday 23rd August along with 9U events.

Please note that the car park may be busier than normal during the event, so please be considerate when parking.

Food:

There will be an expanded selection of food available during the event for players and spectators, such as jacket potatoes, chips, cobs, cakes, muffins, fruit etc.
