Ladders for Racquet Sports

Over the last few years we have had several different ladders operating for members to have the opportunity to play competitive matches with other members. These are all on the MyCourts Court Booking system

Tennis:-

Our tennis singles ladder has been in place for around 5 years now with well in excess of 250 matches played over that time and currently has 38 players in it. Clearly it is very popular.

Squash:-

As for squash, this ladder was popular too. However, it has a rule in it that if a player does not complete any matches during a 365 day period it automatically removes them from the ladder. Unfortunately during the Covid pandemic with several lockdowns and squash courts getting closed for much more of the time than tennis, no matches have been played since December 2019 and so the ladder has automatically deleted ALL of the players who were in it..!!

It would be great to see the ladders thriving again as it provides easy opportunities for members to play a multitude of different players and make new friends and therefore bringing more value to their club membership.

Also there are the following ladders which are clearly not currently being used:-
• Racketball: Senior Ladder
• Squash: Junior Ladder
• Ladies Racketball
• Ladies Squash

I just want to remind our Racquets members who play Squash and Racketball that all of the above ladders are still available on MyCourts for members to participate in and they are completely free to join.
