Barney Griffin Memorial Padel Tournament 2025 5th October 2025

The Barney Griffin Memorial Padel Tournament will take place on Sunday 5 October.

This is a mixed doubles event open to 12 ladies and 12 men. The competition will commence at 9.15 and will be finished by 13.00.

Players should enter as individuals and will be organised into mixed pairings. The format of the event will be two initial box leagues, each containing six pairs. During the initial box leagues you will play with five different partners against all the other men / ladies in your group.

The winners and runners up from each box league will progress to the knock-out stages involving semi-finals and the final. Time permitting there will be play-off matches for those not qualifying for the semi-finals.

While there will clearly be a competitive element to the event, primarily this will be a fun, social occasion that characterises Barney’s approach and attitude to padel. In keeping with this ‘approach’ we would encourage all players to wear appropriate sports kit that reflects Barney’s ‘colourful and flamboyant style’.
